26th March 2018

You may remember that I had made a few goals pre operation of things to do to get me operation ready.

It wasn’t always easy to go for a walk with a malfunctioning lung, a lot of pain and weakness but I did as much as I could. I ate well and had the odd takeaway for convenience (if being ill isn’t a good enough excuse when is eh?). I read some of my book (still not finished) and I have started meditating more as the operation draws closer to help with anxiety and nerves.

I reminded myself of all of the things i’d be able to do again that I was doing before this happened such as yoga, HIIT training, flying and generally having more energy to work and do what I want to do. I wouldn’t be Lindsay without giving myself some additional goals post operation to challenge, push and motivate myself to recover.

I had already booked a few things before I was ill and since have set myself with a goal for a 5k run, an SLR course and we have booked our holiday to Santorini to look forward to!

  1. Balance Festival activities – Yoga, HIIT & Barre.

  2. Make up course

  3. SLR Camera course

  4. Race for Life 5K

  5. Santorini - 10th Wedding Anniversary

  6. Helicopter flight

  7. Flower arranging course

  8. Try Pilates

  9. Go to Bruges

  10. Yoga

  11. Davina HIIT weekdays

This list makes me excited and realise why it’s so important I get this sorted so that I can do all of these things.

So come on Lindsay! You can be brave and do this and tick at least 8 things off of this list!!

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Thanks so much for taking time out to read my story. I share my story and my journey on Instagram to build awareness about Chronic Illness and endometriosis.

Diagnosis of thoracic endometriosis has been a life changing experience with very little information out there.

Building a community of people who share their own experiences has made a huge difference to me and to others dealing with similar symptoms.

The idea was to support others on their path to diagnosis and treatment with shared experience.

Look after yourself!
