Day 44 – Recovery

Today we got up early. NBH was off work today as I thought by now I’d be back at work. I woke up in agony after yesterday. I definitely over did it. I had a yummy avo and houmous on crisp bread breakfast made by my wonderful hubby.

I chilled for a bit and watched TV and tried to get through the pain. I went to see Richard (remedial massage) for the first time in months and he said how tight and immobile I am at the moment. So he worked on me for an hour and I was so sleepy after and now in agony!! I came back and rested as felt wiped out. Fence looked amazing when it was done and we had a lovely spaghetti dinner! I had a bath to ease my muscles with lavender Epsom salts and then went up to bed at 8:30pm. I feel wiped out 😦 No walk for me today as no energy at all. I’m a little worried about Saturdays scan. I am really trying to remain positive!

Pelvic scan day (First ever)

Day 49 – Recovery

I got up to get ready for my scan and NBH made me a yummy breakfast.

We got to the hospital and I saw the consultant for my internal ultra sound. He said my ovaries were fine but that I have adenomyosis, a fibroid and endometriosis in my uterine lining which really hurt when he pointed the probe at it. I will need a laproscopy to remove it and to see if it’s anywhere else. I am a little nervous about more surgery but need to just get it done and sorted now.

I went home and changed and went to our friend's royal garden party for Meghan and Harry’s wedding. I was in pain so we didn’t stay long but it was so so good to see her and bump and get to talk to my friends more too. They have the most beautiful house and the weather was amazing!

We came home early and I laid on sofa with a hot water bottle and took pain relief. My mum and step dad came to visit in the eve and I went up to bed around 9:30pm.

So over tired and in pain. Need to just rest 😦

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Thanks so much for taking time out to read my story. I share my story and my journey on Instagram to build awareness about Chronic Illness and endometriosis.

Diagnosis of thoracic endometriosis has been a life changing experience with very little information out there.

Building a community of people who share their own experiences has made a huge difference to me and to others dealing with similar symptoms.

The idea was to support others on their path to diagnosis and treatment with shared experience.

Look after yourself!
